Join Pentland Medical at BACCN 2025 in Blackpool

We’re excited to announce that Pentland Medical will be exhibiting at BACCN Annual Conference 2025, held at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool. Over the course of the conference, we’ll be showcasing two of our critical care flagship products:

  • Furine – Non-invasive Faecal Management System
  • Total Control Introducer (TCI)

If you’re attending, come and stop by stand 24 to see these in action.

Furine – Non-Invasive Faecal Management System

Furine is the first external faecal catheter designed to be non-invasive, offering a patient-centric solution for liquid stool diversion. It consists of a soft silicone adhesive flange that fits the perianal anatomy, a flexible silicone tube, and a collection bag with a charcoal filter to reduce odor.

Its design prioritises patient comfort and dignity. The adhesive system is gentle yet secure, aimed at reducing risk of pressure injury. Caregivers benefit too: less time managing leaks, better infection control, and an easier workflow in challenging ICU environments.

Total Control Introducer (TCI)

The Total Control Introducer is engineered to transform tracheal access in airway management. Its steerable tip allows real-time adjustment during use, giving clinicians dynamic navigation through even complex airway anatomy.

With critical patients in ICU, first-pass success matters more, and the TCI ensures successful intubation with no trauma or force required to pass through the vocal cords. By conforming to the airway’s curves, TCI helps reduce trauma and complications associated with multiple attempts. In scenarios where direct or video laryngoscopy visualise the cords, but tube placement is challenging, TCI can act as a reliable rescue pathway.

BACCN – Celebrating 40 Years

This year’s BACCN Annual Conference marks a special milestone — the 40th anniversary of the British Association of Critical Care Nurses. For four decades, BACCN has been at the forefront of supporting critical care nursing through education, research, and clinical best practice.

The conference brings together critical care professionals from across the UK and beyond, offering a unique opportunity to share knowledge, learn about the latest innovations, and connect with colleagues dedicated to advancing patient care.

We’re proud to be part of this landmark event in Blackpool at the Winter Gardens, and we look forward to engaging with delegates throughout the conference.
