Upcoming Webinar: Tracheal Access in the Modern Video Laryngoscope Era

As video laryngoscopy continues to shape modern airway management, understanding how airway geometry, introducer design, and clinician control influence tracheal access is more relevant than ever.

We are pleased to invite clinicians to an upcoming educational webinar exploring tracheal access in the modern video laryngoscope era, with a focus on the evolving understanding of airway geometry and introducer design.

Registration uptake has already been high, and we are delighted to see such strong interest in this important topic. Can’t attend live? The session will be recorded, so register anyway and we’ll send the recording directly to your email address after the webinar.

The session will feature Dr Sean Runnells, inventor of the Total Control Introducer (TCI). Dr Runnells is an anaesthetist, innovator, and founder of Through The Cords, the company behind the Total Control Introducer. His work has focused on improving tracheal access and supporting safer, more controlled intubation, particularly in the context of video laryngoscopy and difficult airway management.

Dr Runnells will discuss the theory behind tracheal access geometry, the challenges associated with video laryngoscopy, and how airway device design is adapting to modern intubation techniques.

Alongside the educational content, the webinar will include a practical overview of the Total Control Introducer system, covering its applications in both oral and nasal intubation, the sizes available, and how steerable introducer technology can support clinician control during airway management.

Attendees will learn more about:

• The changing challenges of tracheal access with video laryngoscopy
• The role of airway geometry in successful intubation
• How introducer design is evolving to support modern airway management
• Practical applications of the TCI in oral and nasal intubation
• The TCI sizes available and their clinical applications

The webinar will conclude with a live Q&A session, giving attendees the opportunity to put their questions directly to Dr Runnells.

This session will be relevant to anaesthetists, airway leads, ODPs, critical care clinicians, and anyone with an interest in airway management and video laryngoscopy.
