Inflatable Patient Positioning Devices

The O.R. Comfort line of patented patient positioning devices is designed to help anaesthesia staff position and reposition a patient optimally during a surgical procedure, while also providing a means of maintaining the comfort and satisfaction of the patient. A three-way stopcock allows the air pressure to be increased, decreased or held at a desired level so the patient does not have to be manually moved or lifted.

Shoulder-Float™ Adjustable Axillary Support Device

The Shoulder-Float™ Adjustable Axillary Support Device helps anesthesia and operating theatre staff position and reposition a patient optimally during surgical procedures performed in the lateral decubitus position. The device can be adjusted throughout a procedure to maintain an even weight distribution, without having to manually lift or move the patient.

• Easy to Use-slide the uninflated Shoulder-Float Device under the patient’s axilla and inflate enough to lift the shoulder off the table.
• Helps relieve a patient’s shoulder discomfort and reduces instances of staff and patient injuries due to lifting.
• Replaces the foam, towels, beanbag or gel axillary rolls often used.
• Can be used with bariatric patients

Pelvic-Tilt™ Adjustable Displacement Device

The Pelvic-Tilt Device is an inflatable “pillow” designed to lift a patient’s hip between 20-40 degrees during surgical procedures.

• Useful in obstetrics to avoid compression of the vena cava and/or aorta during cesarean sections and deliveries in the supine position.
• Practical during kidney surgery and surgery on the side of the leg or ankle.
• Easy-to-use: a non-inflatable flap is placed underneath the patient to prevent lateral shifting of the device. The inflatable “pillow” section is positioned under the hip to be angled, then inflated to the desired lift using the squeeze bulb or an optional tourniquet adapter

Delgado™ Adjustable Inflatable Post Support

The Delgado Device is an adjustable “pillow” that goes between the stabilizing post on the operating room table and the patient. It provides patient comfort as well as optimal positioning for the surgeon, with the added benefit of being able to be readjusted as desired during a procedure.

• Helpful in maximizing patient stability on the operating room table.
• Helpful in distributing the pressure against the patient’s body to minimize the likelihood of nerve, vessel or visceral damage.
